Something Is Coming
I've been sitting on something.
Not for a weekend or a sprint. For long enough that at some point it stopped being a side project and became the thing I think about on the drive, in the shower, and at two in the morning when I should be asleep.
I can't tell you what it is yet.
I can tell you its name.
INBUXA
Say it out loud: in-BUX-uh. You'll be saying it again.
It has a website, inbuxa.org. Go and look. I'll wait.
...
You saw a logo, one sentence and the words "Coming soon." That's everything on it, and it's meant to be.
What I can tell you
Not much, and I'm going to enjoy that.
- It isn't a tweak. It's not a plugin, a theme, or a new coat of paint on something you already use.
- It's three things that have always been separate, built to be one. The site gives you that much. I'm giving you nothing more.
- It's the most ambitious thing I've ever taken on. I've shipped a few things. This is a different size.
- It's meant to run on your hardware, under your name. Not someone else's.
What I can't tell you
How it works. What it replaces. Who it's for. When.
Every question I'd love to answer is one I'm not answering. Not today.
Why the secrecy?
Because a reveal only happens once, and I've shipped enough things to know I'd rather get it right than get it early.
And because it isn't finished. I won't show you something half-built and call it done. When the curtain goes up, everything behind it will be real.
